For this episode, we watched From Here to Eternity, written by Daniel Taradash from the novel by James Jones, directed by Fred Zinnemann, starring Burt Lancaster, Montgomery Clift, Deborah Kerr, Donna Reed, Frank Sinatra, Ernest Borgnine.
As well as Best Picture, From Here to Eternity won a further seven Academy Awards out of thirteen nominations, including Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor (Sinatra) and Best Supporting Actress (Reed).
