It was directed by Alfred Hitchcock (nominated) with music from Franz Waxman (nominated) and cinematography by George Barnes (won). The stars were Joan Fontaine (nominated), Laurence Olivier (nominated), Judith Anderson (nominated) and George Sanders. It was nominated for a further four awards.
